Well... we're going to have to wait another year.

With the housing crisis going on, even though we were approved last year...and thought we were in a better position this year...we were turned down after we found our "perfect home". Apparently with all the foreclosures, all the banks are raising their criteria. We could've gotten approved, but we would've had to have emptied our savings in order to do it.

We're just going to wait. By this time next year we'll be able to put 20% down and avoid the whole PMI BULLSHIT and have MORE than required. The thing that really hurt us was my job history. Since I work in a comission based field, they can't count my income until I've worked at my location for at least 2years.

NEways we're 1/3rd of the way to our savings goal for the house....ack!

Updates on the kids...(It's been a while, we had 2 chinchillas...a friend of ours really really wanted them...and with our work schedules it was better for them...but we've still got both rats).

We've got 2 rats, they're small and cat-like in their needs (not needing a lot of attention) but dog-like in their treatment of "their people", wanting to cuddle and be petted and all. The best thing about them has to be the "no pet fee" as we live in an apartment. (As long as the animal's in a cage, there's no pet fee required.)

We have a white/cream colored named Bailey, and a grey with a white tummy and white socks named Greg. I put Greg in Bailey's Cage to play for a while (he's too young to move in permanently b/c he'd fit though the bars and escape...but supervised play time is a must). They curled up in my lap earlier, I can hear them rummaging around. I never would've thought of a rat as "sweet" but my friend next door raises them, after she introduced me I was hooked. (I can even look past the creepy tail now.) They are just so tame!

Unlike gerbils, they don't bite...I just recommend getting them as young as possible so that they recognize you as their "family"...but they are easy to hand tame. They are funny to watch!!! Bailey gets pissed at me every time I clean his cage. When I put him back in his cage he feels a need to "rearrange his house, the way he wants it again".

Well I need sleep and to put Greg back in his house. Nighters!

I've been working 10hour days, and not having a lot of time to post (obviously). I thought I'd take a moment to catch up and update on all that's been going on on our end. It's starting to look like Brandon may be in the running for a position as Party Chief...although it may be another 8-12months before the company starts putting people in the position.

I still love selling cars:) salesmen aren't as evil as stereotypes make us sound...in fact (on a sheer level of mark up) I'd say everyone should get more ticked off at appliace and furniture salesmen. Salesmen don't make a ton of money, but the pay does compare and is often better than teaching....yes I don't have as much time off...but I'm almost self-employeed in a way.. Example: last week I was really sick, and I only came to work 2 days out of the week. I'm not losing any money in my paycheck (b/c I'd already sold a good number of vehicles) and since I'm paid on commission, the company isn't losing any money either.

Brandon and I are weighing our options between site built homes and manufactured homes. I think it'll be the best thing so that we can be the most comfortable, and still keep our note affordable. We're looking at land right now, and will be purchasing/setting up our home around this december/january. We're pretty much stuck in our lease right now...but once it's up in November we hope to be able to move out without too much fuss...I'm so not looking forward to packing!!!

I really need to take the time to set up my IRA and do some adult responsible things, working 8-6pm 6days a week is wearing me a lil thin right now. I'm really looking forward to taking a vacation with Brandon in September. We're going to Universal Studios!!! YIPPY!!! Our first REAL vacation in 3 years!!! ((jumps for joy!))

I've also started looking into going back to school via deferred loans around jan-mar. of next year. I've decided I want to go for my Masters in finance with a focus on accounting. I know I could sell for a few years while I go to school; however I want to eventually relocate to a desk position either in car sales or through another corporation. I think a Masters is the best way for me to do that.

Laters!!!
LOVE YA'LL
KEEP IN TOUCH!!!

I've started yoga:)

I go about once a week...and went to my third class yesterday. The meditation, is just what I need to help center myself...and I'm feeling better about my prayer life since I started going.

I've started doing a lot of reading on meditation, and yoga. Yoga is more a discipline, and can be practiced along with a person's religion or with "no religion at all" making it more a personal philosophy rather than a dogma. My friend Annie is buddhist, and the two of us love sitting and talking philosophy right now...There's a lot on both sides I agree with...and even am attracted to...

well that's all for now...

NAMASTE!:);)

ARG! well...I've never been happier NOT to get what I wanted!

The house had structual damage in the support beams and luckily we did a home inspection! The sellers refuse to fix the beams and we're not prepared to shell out money on them (and the lil bit of money they offer will likely not cover the repairs). SO we're going to wait another few months and save up a bit more of a down payment and get a bigger newer home/but pay the same note:P:);)

Brandon should be home start of next week (OMG I NEED TO CLEAN THE APARTMENT SO SO BAD!!!)

Spent some time playing with my mood theme!

and...I sold a Tundra to a really nice family today:) Wohoo!

Brandy (You're A Fine Girl )
( Looking Glass )

(dooda-dit-dooda), (dit-dooda-dit-dooda)

There's a port on a western bay
And it serves a hundred ships a day
Lonely sailors pass the time away
And talk about their homes

And there's a girl in this harbor town
And she works layin' whiskey down
They say "Brandy, fetch another round"
She serves them whiskey and wine

The sailors say "Brandy, you're a fine girl" (you're a fine girl)
"What a good wife you would be" (such a fine girl)
"Yeah your eyes could steal a sailor from the sea"
(dooda-dit-dooda), (dit-dooda-dit-dooda-dit)

Brandy wears a braided chain
Made of finest silver from the North of Spain
A locket that bears the name
Of the man that Brandy loves

He came on a summer's day
Bringin' gifts from far away
But he made it clear he couldn't stay
No harbor was his home

The sailor said " Brandy, you're a fine girl" (you're a fine girl)
"What a good wife you would be" (such a fine girl)
"But my life, my love and my lady is the sea"
(dooda-dit-dooda), (dit-dooda-dit-dooda-dit)

Yeah, Brandy used to watch his eyes
When he told his sailor stories
She could feel the ocean fall and rise
She saw its ragin' glory
But he had always told the truth, Lord, he was an honest man
And Brandy does her best to understand
(dooda-dit-dooda), (dit-dooda-dit-dooda-dit)

At night when the bars close down
Brandy walks through a silent town
And loves a man who's not around
She still can hear him say
She hears him say
"Brandy, you're a fine girl" (you're a fine girl)
"What a good wife you would be" (such a fine girl)
"But my life, my love and my lady is the sea"
(dooda-dit-dooda), (dit-dooda-dit-dooda-dit)

"Brandy, you're a fine girl" (you're a fine girl)
"What a good wife you would be" (such a fine girl)
"But my life, my love and my lady is the sea"
